The past couple of weeks have been so busy with clients needing photographs and Christmas cards. I've hardly had time to edit much less take a picture of our family and finish my cards! I promise those will come soon. In the meantime, my friend, Robyn, asked me to take some shots of her family so they can include them in their adoption portfolio. They have decided to adopt a little boy from Ethiopia! You can read more about their adoption story here. So back to the post at hand... it's been busy and hot. Which is a good thing for family photographs in the winter. Robyn had this assortment of cute Christmasy clothes all picked out for each member of her family and then she took a step back. She looked at it all and thought, "What am I thinking? That's not us. I can't even get my kids into shoes, much less Christmas sweaters!" So she just pulled out their favorite comfy clothes, put her hair in a braid and met me only 15 minutes behind our appointed time!
This is the result. Much better...
This week I'm grateful for the Ballew family. Part of my extended family. And our new part of the family; waiting patiently in Africa.
Such sweet girls!
